Hot Key Editor

The Hot Key Editor in the Production suite lets you set up the Hot Keys that are available in the DJB On Air software.

Hot Keys Pages

This area shows all of the pages of Hot Keys that have been created.
They can be dragged to a red button for quick access.
In Zone OnAir Hot Key pages can be selected by clicking a red button or using the drop down box.

This area shows the current Page of Hot Keys.
Each page contains 20 buttons that can be filled with any audio cut in the ZONE Database.
To add a cut to a Hot Key open Production and Hot Key Editor, drag a cut by the cut number field and drop it on the button.
Double Clicking any button will clear it out.

If you select a Hot Key Page and click Delete, the page will be removed from the list.

To create a new Hot Key Page type the name you want to use and click Create New.
Note: if you create a page called "weather" the first 4 buttons will also show up in the Zone OnAir Weather Zone.
This is useful for weather beds or sponsors.

The red buttons allow you to select one of the Hot Keys pages.
You can use the pages for different types of audio cuts, different on air personalities, or both.
Drag the Hot Key Page onto the red button of your choice.
Double click a button to blank it out or drag a different page onto it..

By default when you drag a cut from Production onto a Hot Key, the Hot Key text will be Title and Length.
If you want to change the Title text enter the new text here and click save. 
The length will always be available.
 
The Cut Number area shows which cut in the database is loaded on the selected button.
In the example above Teenage Dream is cut number 60 in the database.

To further customize and personalize the buttons, you can drag a color to a button and drop it.
The button will then show the color selected.

As you might expect this button closes the Hot Key Editor.
